Letter: The Athens Coalition for Palestine welcomes all students to the Teach-in

The “Teach-in for Justice” Welcomes All Ohio University Students.

The “Teach-in for Justice” Welcomes All Ohio University Students.

In the interest of a deeper education, and in pursuit of a meaningful recognition of Palestine at Ohio University, the Athens Coalition for Palestine is holding a teach-in on Friday, Nov. 21 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Front Room in Baker Center.

This event invites a pointed and direct dialogue on the issues in Palestine. Its occupation, colonization, economy, the everyday life of its people, and the conflict that has come to define recent discussions on campus and globally.

Our speakers come from a place of experience — many of them from Palestine itself — or have been involved in the Palestinian effort for many years. We hope, among other things, that their talks will broaden the horizon of discussions at Ohio University.

Informational literature will be available for those who wish to learn more about the ongoing occupation of Palestine by Israel and what each of us can do to promote justice and peace.

All those interested are welcome to attend. Come and go as your schedule allows.
