For the first time since 2010, Ohio University rose in U.S. News and World Report’s rankings of national universities.
OU now holds the 129th spot, up six from last year, and is tied with the University of Cincinnati and the University of Kentucky. The University of Dayton, Miami University, Ohio State and Case Western Reserve are the only Ohio schools ranked ahead of OU.
The university took the 63rd spot for public universities, a five point jump from last year.
OU has fallen from 98th in the national university rankings since 2004, the year President Roderick McDavis took office.
