Football: Yazdani named MAC East Special Teams Player of the Week

Monday, Yazdani was named the MAC Special Teams Player of the Week for the third time in his career. His field goal on Saturday improved him to 15-for-16 all time in field goals as a Bobcat and his two sucessful extra points helped him stay perfect on point after attempts in his career.

You all know by now: redshirt junior kicker Josiah Yazdani drilled a 44-yard field goal as time expired to claim the 17-14 victory in the season opener at Kent State Saturday.

This kick, which Yazdani said was “money as soon as my foot touched the ball,” booted him into the weekly Mid-American Conference awards.
