You all know by now: redshirt junior kicker Josiah Yazdani drilled a 44-yard field goal as time expired to claim the 17-14 victory in the season opener at Kent State Saturday.
This kick, which Yazdani said was “money as soon as my foot touched the ball,” booted him into the weekly Mid-American Conference awards.

He also averaged 65.3 yards per kickoff on Saturday, including two touchbacks.
Yazdani, who took over as Ohio’s starting kicker in 2013, sits at a 93.7 percent on field goal attempts, which is the all-time best in Ohio history.
