Ohio cross country runner Kurt Steinmuller, junior, received the Mid-American Conference Runner of the Week on Wednesday.
Steinmuller has had a tremendous season so far, and this reward should come as no surprise.
On Friday, he placed fourth in the Virginia Tech Alumni Invitational. This finish along with a first place at the Miami Invitational, and a third place finish at the Ohio Invitational were crucial in receiving this accolade.
He has had a personal best time in each of the last two races and look to continue to have a career-breaking season as it progresses.
The men's cross country team will join Steinmuller in their next meet on Friday Oct. 3 to participate in the All-Ohio Championship in Cedarville.
