My name is Jim, and it’s my honor to be writing you from the editor’s desk. I’m a senior studying journalism and political science, and I’m proud to call Michigan home — though I realize I better say that quietly around these parts. (I have no allegiance to the Maize and Blue, for the record.)
I aim to bring you inside The Post newsroom, Baker 325, where we work each day to publish our newspaper and populate our website. I’ll educate you, our readers, about our internal operations and shine some light on why we make some of the decisions that we do. I’ll admit to our mistakes and inform you of what we’re doing to correct them.
Please know that I am unapologetic for my love of The Post, but I’ll try not to overdo it.
I’ve mentioned this before, and I’m sure I’ll say it again, but I would like to stress that The Post is here to serve you, our readers. We are an independent voice of Ohio University students, and we aim to accurately report on the topics that are of importance to Athens residents, university faculty, students and alumni.
My colleagues and I hold this publication to a high standard, and we take our jobs seriously. We care immensely about the products we produce, and we want you to let us know how we’re doing, good or bad.
