Athens High School quarterback Joe Burrow announced Tuesday that he has committed to play football at Ohio State, after receiving a scholarship offer days ago.
Burrow, who will play his senior season with the Bulldogs this fall, was the 2013 Ohio Gatorade Player of the Year and has thrown for 6,971 yards and 94 touchdowns in just two seasons. He has also rushed for 1,425 yards and 22 touchdowns.
Burrow, a 6-foot-4, 205 pounder, is a three-star prospect according to 247Sports and received offers from at least 18 schools, including Ohio, Iowa State, Cincinnati, Maryland, Minnesota, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
He did not respond to The Post's request for comment.
