Nelsonville man and Albany woman sentenced to prison for robbery

A Nelsonville man and an Albany woman were sentenced to prison on Wednesday.

Tyler Brown, 23, and Lisa Wisor, 39, pleaded guilty to robbery, a second-degree felony.

Athens County Prosecutor Keller Blackburn said in a press release that Wisor took an individual to a secluded area Jan. 20, where Brown maced him with pepper spray and “struck him in the face.”

The plan was to take the victim’s medications and money. The victim got away and called law enforcement.

Brown was sentenced to four years in the State Penal System, while Wisor was sentenced to four years and six months. Wisor also was found to have violated terms of her community control.

Upon release, Brown will be under post-release control for four years. Wisor will be required to complete a community based correctional facility program and will be under five years community control upon her release.

According to a previous Post article, Brown could have faced a maximum prison term of eight years, in addition to paying a possible fine $15,000.
