New technology offers a powerful tool for popular Humans vs. Zombies game

Humans vs. Zombies might get a little more intense.

Ohio University students have conceptualized a design to modify a Nerf blaster gun that is customizable, more powerful and more accurate.

The gun will be “more realistic in terms of firepower,” said Daniel Williams, the OU student who designed the weapon.

“If I could get my hands on the gun without having to spend a fortune then I would definitely be interested,” said Joe Patterson, a freshman studying chemical engineering.

In Humans vs. Zombies, players begin as humans and try to survive a zombie attack. The goal is for all humans to be turned into zombies, or have the humans survive a set amount of time.

The students are part of the Better Blaster Bureau, a client of the university’s Innovation Center, which provides support to small businesses.

I feel like the game right now as it is is fine,” said Drake Harrell, a freshman. “The game is growing and its still a ton of fun so I see no reason to plunk the money down to get a gun.
