Athens County is under a Winter Weather Advisory for snow, which is in effect until at least 11 a.m. Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service and the Athens County Emergency Management Agency.
At least 1 to 3 inches is expected to be dumped on the county with the snow expected to taper off between 10 and 11 a.m.
As expected, "bridges, overpasses, secondary and especially untreated roads will be the most likely locations for slick spots," according to the county EMA.
Temperatures are expected to under in the low to mid 20s for the rest of the day.
