Letter: Water bottle drive accepting donations for West Virginia

Athens to Charleston Water Project: Local businesswoman Patricia Thomas, owner of the Adam’s Rib barbecue food truck, and a group of concerned citizens are collecting bottled water to donate to the people of Charleston, W. Va., still suffering from their contaminated water supply.

Local drop off locations:

• Shagbark Seed Mill, 88 Columbus Circle (left of New To You shop), Monday – Friday until 5 p.m.

• Grace Christian Center, 9322 Johnson Road, Monday and Thursday 4-6 p.m., and Wednesday 7-9 p.m.

• Burrito Buggy, Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you cannot make it to one these locations, call Patricia at 740-707-0589 or Michelle at 740-590-1501. We will make arrangements to collect your water.

They will deliver the donated water this Saturday, Feb. 22.
