A local man, accused of manufacturing methamphetamine and charged with first- and second-degree drug felonies, is set to continue his trial with a hearing in February for a motion to suppress.
Ethan Pierce, 25, was indicted in November for the illegal manufacture of drugs, a felony of the first degree, and the illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a felony of the second degree.
The felonies were allegedly committed in the presence of a juvenile, according to documents from the Athens County Court of Common Pleas.
Pierce, of Albany, pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in mid-December. He was released on bond later that month.
Pierce must remain in Ohio, be a law-abiding citizen and contact health recovery services. He is required to have an “assessment and to comply with recommendations of that assessment,” according to court documents.
