A North Carolina woman pleaded guilty Wednesday to two felony drug charges after she was pulled over in The Plains and found with 198 grams of cocaine.
Kimari Anderson, 35, was charged with one count of trafficking in cocaine and one count of possession of cocaine, both felonies of the first degree, and are specified as major drug offenses, according to the Ohio Revised Code.
She originally pleaded not guilty in her arraignment Nov. 20, according to a previous Post
article.
Athens County Common Pleas Court Judge L. Alan Goldsberry sentenced her t

x years in prison, and she is subject to a five-year drivers license suspension, according to a news release from Athens County Prosecutor Keller Blackburn’s office.
According to the release, Anderson was pulled over Nov. 7 for a traffic violation when Ohio State Highway Patrol officials located the drugs.
Travis Croson, 33, and Ebony Saunders, 35, were also in the car at the time. Croson was sentenced to four years in prison Monday and Saunders was sentenced to six years in prison Friday. Both were sentenced in Athens County Common Pleas Court.
All three of them are incarcerated in the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
Anderson has been incarcerated since Nov. 8 while Saunders and Croson have been incarcerated since Dec. 5 and Dec. 12, respectively, according to the jail’s booking documents.
“This case involves a transient passing through our county with a large amount of cocaine,” Blackburn said in the release. “Not only is the outcome a huge win for Athens County, but also the State of Virginia as well as this is where the cocaine was heading.”
