A column was published in Wednesday’s edition of The Post that had significant use of unattributed information.
Plagiarism is unacceptable and there is no valid excuse for it.
The Post strives for professionalism in its content, and we know that issues like these can result in lost credibility.
Without question, ethical standards were broken by our columnist, unfortunately resulting in his termination.
We apologize for the incident and are always striving to improve as a publication.
Although we are losing one of our own, we hope to grow and move forward from this instance.
We will review Post policies with our columnists and reporters and make a conscious effort to do a better job at fact-checking and editing our content.
