Tonight’s Athens City Council meeting will begin at 7 p.m. with a special presentation from top Ohio University officials.
Stephen Golding, OU’s vice president for finance and administration, and Pam Benoit, executive vice president and provost, will make a presentation on an Economic Impact Study.
Both the planning and development committee and the finance and personnel committee are planning to speak about miscellaneous subjects, including but not limited to the topic of fracking.
Council will then enter a special session where an ordinance discussing the replacement of sidewalks located on North Lancaster Street will be read.
These sidewalks have been deemed to be in poor condition and in need of repair.
