Fresh off a summer tour with country music mainstays Kenny Chesney and Eric Church, rising star Kacey Musgraves will begin an international tour of her own on Sept. 19.
The 13th and final stop on her schedule will be at Ohio University’s Templeton-Blackburn Memorial Alumni Auditorium on Halloween.
The performance, which was announced Monday, is an addition to OU’s Performing Arts Series, which includes other country artists Gretchen Wilson and Thompson Square, which performed at MemAud on Sunday.
Popular selections off Same Trailer Different Park include No. 1 single “Merry Go ‘Round” (one of Rolling Stone’s top 50 singles of 2012), “Blowin’ Smoke,” the album’s second single, and cunning, rebellious “Follow Your Arrow.”
Musgraves, a 24-year-old Texas native, is known for her bold, clever songwriting about her life growing up in small town America.
Presale tickets will be available for purchase on Sept. 18. They will cost $35 for the first 10 rows and $16 for the remainder of the auditorium.
