A 51-year-old Glouster man was sentenced to five years in prison at a hearing in the Athens County Common Pleas Court on Tuesday.
On Feb. 13, David Schuetzman was found in possession of items commonly used in the making of methamphetamine and was actively making the drug. Two minors were also living in the residence at the time, according to an Athens County Prosecutor’s Office news release.
Schuetzman previously changed his plea to guilty on charges of illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs and endangering children, according to the news release.
Schuetzman was arrested with Samantha Hummel, 25, in February. Hummel was also charged with illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs and endangering children, according to a previous Post article.
Hummel owes $157 in court costs. Her charge for illegal manufacturing of drugs was dismissed and her charge for endangering children was held, according to court documents.
