Ohio Athletics announced that its head soccer coach of 13 years, Stacy Strauss, resigned from her position Monday.
A news release from the athletic department said that Strauss chose to leave the program to "pursue other professional opportunities."
"There is nothing that I want to share at this time," Strauss said, declining further comment about her future.
Strauss led the Bobcats to Mid-American Conference titles in 2001 and 2004 and garnered 70 conference wins during her tenure with Ohio.
She is also Ohio's all-time wins leader, and coached 24 all-MAC honorees.
"I have enjoyed my time at Ohio University but I have decided to leave and pursue other professional opportunities," Strauss said, in the news release.
Her 2012-13 salary is listed as $64,994.
Tom Symonds, Ohio assistant athletic director for media relations, declined to comment further on the matter, saying that there is no early indications whether or not Ohio will look to fill her position internally.
Ohio will immediately begin a national search to fill the position, according to the news release.
The Bobcats finished the season 8-10-1 and won three of its 10 MAC games.
"We certainly appreciate the many years of loyal service that Stacy has given to Ohio University," said Jim Schaus, Ohio director of athletics, in the news release.
