The Nelsonville Music Festival has added two more headliners, and one is known for whistling a slightly different tune.
Andrew Bird, a multi-instrumentalist who is known for hits such as "Fake Palindromes", was added to the lineup Monday afternoon.
Bird's sixth album, Break It Yourself, will be released on March 6, about two months before the festival, which will happen May 18 to May 20 at Robbins Crossing at Hocking College.
Bird wasn't the only addition, though.
Lee "Scratch" Perry, a reggae legend who produced artists such as Bob Marley and The Heptones in his backyard studio, will also visit Southeast Ohio.
Perry — who Rolling Stone called the 100th Greatest Artist of All Time in 2004 — won the 2003 Grammy for Best Reggae Album for Jamaican E.T.
"Lee Perry is a legend in the Jamaican music world and will be a great addition to the festival," said Tim Peacock, executive producer of the Stuart's Nelsonville Opera House."
Rise Again, which was released in 2011, is Perry's most recent album.
Hayes Carll, a songwriter whose 2011 release KMAG YOYO (& other American stories) received accolades from American Songwriter and Spin, will also be making an appearance. Carll last played at Stuart's Opera House on July 28, 2011.
"He has standing here from last years performance," Peacock said. "He almost sold out the Opera house last summer and we are excited to have him again."
Time and Temperature, a Columbus band, was also added to the lineup.
