A northeastern Ohio man pleaded not guilty to one count of gross sexual imposition at his arraignment hearing this morning.
Robert C. Hickerson, 21, was charged with one count of gross sexual imposition. The alleged victim gave “written and verbal sworn statements” that Hickerson performed sexual activity on her without her consent and by force in Athens County, according to court documents.
Hickerson, who is from Olmsted Falls, Ohio, is currently being held on $10,000 at the Southern Ohio Regional Jail.
Gross sexual imposition is a fourth-degree felony. Hickerson could be sentenced to a maximum of 18 months in prison and a maximum fine of $5,000 if convicted, according to the Ohio Revised Code.
Hickerson is due back in court Nov. 16 for a preliminary hearing.
