A pick-up truck was reported stolen outside an Athens residence Tuesday morning after the keys were left inside.
Joel B. Hobbs reported that his black Ford F-150 was stolen at about 9 a.m. Tuesday from his residence, 196 W. State St., according to an Athens Police report.
Athens Police officers checked the area for the truck, but were unable to find it. A bulletin was issued to Southeast Ohio law enforcement, according to the report.
The keys to the truck were left on the floorboard of the vehicle. A push mower, backpack blower and a straight-shaft trimmer were in the back of the truck. The estimated worth of the contents was $600, according to the report.
The truck was valued at $10,000, according to the report.
There are no suspects and police are continuing the investigation, according to the report.
Athens Police officers could not be reached for comment.
