Women's golf finishes fourth

The Ohio women's golf team ended its Spring Break trip with a fourth-place finish in the 23-team William & Mary Invitational this weekend in Williamsburg,Va.

The Bobcats shot 627, nine strokes back of winner James Madison. Yale and Princeton placed second and third, respectively, at 621 and 622.

We did pretty well

graduate assistant coach Jeff Hetler said. We felt we were going to do well because we had a great week playing at Pinehurst.

Sara Ann Palmer and Julie Tomlinson paced Ohio at 10-over-par 154, good for an eight-player share of sixth place. Meredith Waterston shot 161, Cari Mozingo, 162, and Ana Brown, 164. Competing individually, Kristen Mautz and Ashley McCall shot 159 and 161, respectively.

We always want to be in the top half Hetler said. Two are in the top 10. Anytime you do that you're going to score well.

The Bobcats will continue their season at the Indiana Invitational next weekend in Bloomington, Ind.
