Marshall spoils conference opener

Paced by 22 points and 18 rebounds from forward Catie Knable and 54 total team rebounds for the game, Marshall knocked off the Ohio women's basketball team, 86-63, Saturday in The Convo.

The Bobcats (6-6 overall, 0-1 Mid-American Conference) cut Marshall's 28- point lead into single digits with just more than six minutes to play in the contest, but the Thundering Herd (10-3, 2-1 MAC) took control, outscoring Ohio 21-7 the rest of the way.

The Thundering Herd collected 22 offensive rebounds, including multiple offensive boards during a single possession on several occasions.
