Club sports weekend recap

Women's club soccer dominates Ashland

The women's club soccer team made the most of the Halloween weekend at home with an 8-0 victory against Ashland.

The offense was provided by Rachel Longsworth, Katie Tumblin and Rachael Najjar, who each scored two goals. Amy Tirimacco and Pammie Prinz also contributed one goal each.

The team has two more matches before traveling to Alabama for the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association National Tournament on Nov. 20-22.

Men's club volleyball competes in Columbus

The men's club volleyball team finished tied for ninth overall at the Buckeye Classic in Columbus. Ohio went 2-2 during the weekend, with wins against Wabash and the Dayton II squad. The team lost to both Kent State and Toledo's clubs.

Men's rugby splits matches

The men's club rugby team traveled to Pittsburgh for the early rounds of the National Rugby Tournament.

Ohio defeated Robert Morris, 57-12, on Saturday. The team lost on Sunday to host Pittsburgh, 30-20.

Women's rugby loses

The Ohio women's rugby team lost to the Cleveland Women's Club, 24-7, on Saturday.
