Editor,
As a member of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community of Ohio University, I read with interest Natalie Morales's column Language choice is important (Oct. 14). While I thank her for being an ally and standing up for the community, I also want to address a few points she made in her column.
So I say to Natalie and others who may have been offended by the chalkings: Think a bit more about why the terms may have been used, question your own assumptions about language choice, attend the Vagina Monologues in February to learn even more interesting ways to describe the vagina, and take some time to attend OUTWeek events.
