This weekend's bicentennial homecoming festivities kick off at the fifth annual Student Alumni Board Yell Like Hell pep rally at 7:30 p.m. tonight on the front steps of Baker University Center.
Ohio offensive line coach Jeff Bleamer said he hopes the cheering will help get the football players fired up for their Homecoming game against the University of Central Florida, 2 p.m. Saturday, at Peden Stadium.
Bleamer said members of the team will be there to lead the crowd in chants and cheers and to encourage students to come to the game.
With the way we played last week
I think the kids will be fired up for the game. It would be good to see the stands full so let's start it out with a great pep rally Bleamer said.
The Marching 110 and the Dance Team will join the football players on the Baker steps to add their own expressions of Bobcat pride to the cheers of cheerleaders and students. OU President Robert Glidden also will make an appearance and will speak to students as he prepares to celebrate his last homecoming weekend as OU president.
