Early budget projections for 2004, which were presented at yesterday's Athens County Commissioners meeting, show county revenue will be down from 2003, according to a presentation made by the Athens County Budget Commission.
Preliminary figures show the county budget at $10,163,000, down from $11,051,000 in 2003.
Athens County Commissioner Lenny Eliason said it is important to remember the figures are early and unconfirmed.
The commissioners also signed a grant worth about $60,000 for the Southeastern Ohio Prevention Treatment Alternatives, a program for juvenile delinquents.
A mortgage worth $28,000 was signed by the commissioners through the Hocking Athens Perry County Community Action Program for home rehabilitation at 27275 Huckleberry Road in Coolville.
In other commissioner news:
- A measure involving the University Estates complex on State Route 683 has been tabled indefinitely.
- A presentation on the Dresher sewer project in The Plains was given. Eliason said the project should be finished by Nov. 1.
