A 40-year-old Athens County man arrested Wednesday in Lancaster has been charged with aggravated robbery by the Athens Police Department.
The man, Rex R. Cossin, of Amesville, is being held in the Fairfield County Jail.
The charge against Cossin relates to an armed robbery of the 319 E. State St. Speedway that occurred early in the morning on April 7.
Cossin entered Speedway about 12:23 a.m., according to an APD report. He waited for other customers to leave before pulling out a weapon and demanding money from the cash register. Then Cossin left the area on foot.
In those robberies a man confronted a few Ohio University students, pulled out a gun and asked for money in one instance and a cell phone in the other.
