Students Against War, a recently formed campus anti-war group, is sponsoring a teach-in at 8 tonight in Morton Hall, room 235, focusing on the Iraqi Military Campaign.
The event will feature five speakers who will offer varied arguments against the current war in Iraq. Each speaker will have 10 minutes to speak and then students will have time to ask questions and voice their opposing views, said Sarah Michelson, Students Against War co-founder.
The speakers will cover issues ranging from the Middle East to civil disobedience and life in America.
Students Against War was formed last quarter to give anti-war movement students a chance to voice their opinions about U.S. military involvement in Iraq. Ohio University freshman, Sarah Michelson, along with Sara Dealoia and Aaron Carter formed the group.
"I wanted to have a focus group on war," said Michelson. "We're now starting to get more structured and we’re forming new goals."
The group works with other student organizations to publicize events on campus that oppose the war.
