Luyendyk Jr. is a race car driver and son of two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Arie Luyendyk.
Some people were confused by the choice, especially when some men in recent seasons would have been perfect for the role. Peter Kraus from Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette was a top pick for most, and fan-favorite Luke Pell from JoJo Fletcher’s season was also wanted by the fanbase.
