The first ever Athens Pride Fest took place over the weekend with rainbow-filled festivities.
During the gathering Sunday, cheers could be heard as LGBT people shared their stories and encouragement for other LGBT individuals.
However, the loudest applause came through when a rainbow horse trotted onto College Green.
There's currently a rainbow horse on college green... I swear you can't make up half of the stuff that happens at OU pic.twitter.com/4461mbOdw9

Emma, the rainbow horse, was brought on campus by former state Rep. Debbie Phillips, much to the delight of kids and adults alike. According to Phillips, Emma’s coat was dyed using packets of sugar-free Kool-Aid to prevent stickiness and avoid flies. The Kool-Aid acted as a temporary dye and could be easily washed off, Phillips said.
Some were surprised at the sudden appearance of the horse — after all, it’s not every day a person gets to see a rainbow horse trotting around on campus.
